Hello, May! And a Giveaway!

Giveaways are rare on my blog, but I was happy to jump at the chance to support Savannah College of Art and Design's Working Class Studio and thought it'd be a fun way to welcome in the month of May.

Working Class Studio is kindly offering one lucky reader a wine bag, a medium sized bag and a large shopping bag from their newest line, Re-Gift Fabric Bags. The beautiful black and white pattern design is by Ben Morris, a professor of fashion at SCAD.

To enter, simply leave a comment below about one goal, personal or business-related, you'd like to accomplish this May. You have until next Friday, May 8, 2009 at noon EST, to leave your comment. I'll pick a winner at random and announce it here later that afternoon. Please be sure to include your email or you won't be eligible.

Wow, what a beautiful bag. It ties in so nicely with my goal this month...to get my office/studio space completed. We moved to this house 9 months ago, and most of my stuff has been scattered about while I dream of the perfect space, which is in a black and white color palette, of course.

Coincidentally, before reading this post, I just read a post on another blog about setting goals as a way to boost self-confidence, and I just finished writing a list of goals!

So, my goal for the month of May is to bring a homemade lunch to work at least 4 days per week. Not only will this help me work toward my long-term goal of saving money, but it might also aid my other long-term goal of losing weight and living a healthier life!

Thank you for making me put my goal down in black & white. We are having drain tile and a sump pump put in the basement this summer. I have to get the basement cleaned out in preparation for all the work to be done. I will get it cleaned out. Thanks for the giveaway.

I plan to score straight A's for my exam. But ironically, in order to make my dream come true, I MUST stop entering online contests. Or else, I won't have enough time to revise my studies.

For the first time in my life, I am leaning on my friends and actually asking for help and realizing, that is ok. In the middle of a total kitchen remodel, I was diagnosed with the big CA and really am challenging myself but allowing myself to be vulnerable & embracing the simple things in life. I CAN DO this!

Well. My daughter moved out of her chartreuse room to go to college in the fall of 2000. My son moved into it temporarily when he graduated from college in 2007. We didn't paint it then. He moved out last Feb ('08) when he got a job and moved to DC. The room sat there. It didn't really start to collect crap until a few months ago......my goal for a while has been to paint it white and accessorize with black. My goal for May is, dammit, to get it done! However, the walls will now be sort of a robin's egg blue but I am going to carry out my black/white concept otherwise. Wish me luck on this one! Perhaps I will import my daughter from NY for a few days. She's the culprit who painted it chartreuse in the first place.

What a fantastic bag!

My main goal this month is to secure financial aid. I just found out I was accepted into the New York School of Interior Design. Now I have to figure out how to pay for it; it's quite a process. So I'd like to know by the end of the month exactly how I'll be paying for my education.
