Dear Lulu

A interesting post over at SpeakUp on a print-on-demand experiment:

The result of the workshop is Dear Lulu, a fantastic and imaginative resource that puts digital printing to the test through a Do-It-Yourself presentation that fits right in with philosophy of print on demand that makes it such an alluring proposition for designers looking to publish with little financial risk and with pretty decent results in return. . .

Graphic design is no longer solely about the most beautiful photograph or the most expensive paper in the most refined layout: It's about effectively producing messages and experiences that can be easily distributed.

Alys Beach :: Digital Graffiti Festival

I've been meaning to do a post on the gorgeous Alys Beach {definitely peruse the site for more architectural eye candy} for some time now, but if you haven't booked a Labor Day getaway, I would highly suggesting heading out to the Panhandle for:

“Digital Graffiti” at Alys Beach is a festival created to celebrate and promote the world’s most talented and innovative digital artists - with the entire town literally serving as their canvas. The 2008 festival will be held on the evening of Saturday, August 30th (Labor Day Weekend), with thousands of spectators expected to attend.
