Or perhaps the definition of insanity. . .but in either case, a beautiful result! Fellow graphic designer Christine Flynn sent over this pic of her beautifully hand-painted (yup, hand-painted!) damask wall. When I asked Christine if she had any tips to offer, she said "just buy the wallpaper! haha!" Anyways, if you'd like to attempt this, arm yourself with lots of patience and a good stencil. Thanks, Christine!
p.s. Also check out Christine's new wedding invite line, love the card.

So, I decided to participate in this "little" thing called Blog Action Day.
With 15,000 other bloggers out there posting today, I'll keep mine short and sweet:
Do SOMETHING. Even just one thing is better than nothing.

Beautiful '08 calendar from green chair press. Just $18, this would make a great gift or stocking stuffer!
A year of patterns and poetry.
This desktop calendar has 12 unbound letterpressed cards displaying the month, a pattern and a haiku poem written for the season.

Just found a "new to me" blog, Renovation Voyeur.
This site is for those of us who enjoy peeking into the homes of strangers and love seeing before and after pics of their physical transformations. We watch the shows “Flip This House” not because we need to learn something, but because they need to. When looking for a home, the words “needs work” are music to our ears. They call this stuff renovation porn and we can understand why.
Besides lots of "rennovation porn", there's also a great archive of architectural details like house numbers, doors, etc.
Enjoy! (photos via renovation voyeur)
