Green Chair Press prints some of the most beautiful wood type broadsides {well, it's type so of course I'm smitten}, but I'm also digging this one based on an old piece of Chinese latticework:

This looks oh-so-handy! And is one of those "I wish I thought of that!" ideas.
In short: Print GOCCO ink color reference chart printed on multiple colored paper!
Available in as a single white card, 28 card set (above) or 32 card set from Blue22 on Etsy.

Spotted the work of Jessica Howard over at desire to inspire. . .I love how it's so clean and simple, yet bold. Check out more of her work {in more colors!} right here.

Love these magazine holders! Designed by Happy Forsman & Bodenfors in Sweden and illustrated by Klas Fahlen, these were created for The Swedish Museum of Architecture. Apparently they're only available at the Museum Shop. . .so next time you're in Sweden, but sure to pick up a set for me! (images and links via cr blog)

In my humble opinion, there can never be to many videos of letterpress in action. This one "stars" the work of Armato Design & Press out of Minneapolis, Minnesota {with music from the soundtrack of Amelie, one of my favorite movies!}. Be sure and check out Amy's Etsy shop, website and blog Green Zebra. AND, you can read up more on Amy via her Featured Seller interview on Etsy. Enjoy!

Black, check. White, check. Type, check. Hmmm, I wonder why I like this new alphabet pillow from Room & Board so much. The description says it was originally designed as wallpaper. . .oooo, to get my hand on some of that!

Poppytalk is one of my favorite blogs and I was very excited to read of Jan's new venture {grown out of the success of Poppytalk and her Etsy Pick of the Day site} Poppytalk Handmade, set to launch early October. Think virtual street market with goods handpicked by Jan. . .sounds pretty fantastic to me! More info about Poppytalk Handmade and how to submit your goods right here. Good luck, Jan!

I had previously posted about the beautiful work of ceramic artist Jennifer Graham, but didn't have a link to her website. . .but now I do! {Thanks to Francesca of Mrs. Eliot Books (stop by her Etsy shop right here)} Check out Jennifer's work at www.jennifersgraham.com. Don't know if these gravity bowls are new, but they are new to me!

Found Lush Designs via poppytalk and I'm really loving the crazy mix-n-match of over-the-top Victorian letters in these tea towels and aprons.

And, what's not to love {ha!} about these love pillowcases?

I'm sure you've seen it, but just in case you're living under a rock, Grace over at Design*Sponge has put together an amazing blogger's guide to online shopping {featuring many of my favorite "daily doses of design" you see to the left}. I'm still clicking away in link heaven! Check out the guide Part 1 and Part 2 right here.

Not in my usual spending range, but I love this black and white Hermes blanket that Anna over at absolutely beautiful things posted about. Not only is it black and white, but lucky me, 'H' also happens to be the first letter of my last name. I suppose that the day we can afford to build my black and white dream house, an Hermes blanket will just be a drop in the bucket. (images via abt via domino magazine and hermes)

Simple and beautiful "i'm sorry" card from bread+butter. I've always been fond of blind embossing and I think it's particularly fitting for the occasion you have to apologize. Be sure to check out the rest of bread+butter's blind embossed cards series right here.
My apologies for lack of blog posts as of late! Lots of new work and "real" life has kept me rather busy. . .but I'm not complaining cause that means the bills are being paid ;)

I'm sure this pic seems a little bit random. . .obviously I was initially drawn to this as it's chocolate cake, but was instantly distracted by the "reversed-out" fork. Such a simple, but beautiful little detail. (link via tastespotting, image via dessert first)

Although I've got a few years of being married in the bag, I still love looking through wedding magazines, blogs, etc. I recently spotted this gorgeous Romona Keveza dress {maybe sans the shawl} in Modern Bride {I think!}:

I've seen many dresses that I liked with the buttons down the back, but I love them in black. My dress was a RK and they are simply exquisite. It takes all my might not to bust it out of it's archival box to just wear it around the house. Anyways, continuing on the weddings theme. . .
Bella, an art director from Brazil {how cool is that!}, sent over an inspiration board she created for a Style Me Pretty contest. Calla lilies are my favorite flowers and I especially love the dark ones:
Here's another inspiring black and white one:
And another {mostly black and white}:
Enjoy!
