Where can I find. . .

I'm looking for a faux (or real!) white pearl strand necklace with a black ribbon, similar to the photo below and under $30. Or even a simple tutorial on how to make one myself? Emphasis on the simple as I've never made jewelry before! Any ideas? (photo from moonriverpearls.com)

Hi Jhayne :)

You should contact Anaromero Designs (indie designer) for a custom order, she seems to have all the materials already if I look at her shop! :)

Or, buy this sweet pearly necklace with a twist that she made already, for $21! :)

Hey: these look like freshwater pearls: note the oblong shape; but the easiest way to do a look like this is to buy some cheap pearls: an off white or "pearl" color may look better than the pure white that this picture seems to be. Try Walmart, where you would also find a 1 inch grograin ribbon like the one in this picture. Just cut the ribbon in a piece about 2 foot long, tie it beside the pearl clamp, and cut the ends in the nifty angle shape as seen in the picture. Some clear nail polish will keep the ends from fraying. Otherwise a look like this will cost a lot more than 30 dollars.
